The geology profession has been, and continues to be, a field dominated by men. At 18 years old, when Amy decided to be a geologist, she had no idea. To her, geology meant that she got to outside, get dirty, and study the earth – being a woman never factored into her career decision. Over the past 25 years, there have been professional highs and lows, obstacles to overcome, and barriers to be broken.
