Registration will be based on a first come, first served basis and is limited! Pre-registration is required - there will be no on-site registration available.
The deadline for online registration is October 14.
Registration for Friday and Saturday which includes concurrent sessions, lunch both days, a reception Friday night and mobile workshops on Saturday is $65 per person.
Registration for the pre-symposium workshops on Thursday is an additional $25.

The Facility: The symposium takes place in the Botanical Garden's new Environmentally Sustainable Education Center, a facility designed to meet the highest level of certification for green buildings - Platinum LEED. It incorporates many green technologies such as geothermal heating and air-conditioning, photovoltaics, rainwater collection in cisterns, natural daylighting, and more. The Center is a new gateway to the North Carolina Botanical Garden's display collections and nature trails.
What to Wear: This is a casual event, so no suits allowed. Hooray! Be sure bring comfortable clothing, comfortable hiking footwear and rain gear.

Hotel Information:
There is a block of hotel rooms being held for Thursday ($74) and Friday ($94) nights at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Durham. Reservations for this block must be made before
October 1, 2009.

*Hotel rates do not include a 12.75% tax.
*If you need hotel accommodations for Thursday night, you may need to check the Raleigh/Durham area. Due to a televised UNC football game, many of the Chapel Hill hotels are at capacity for Thursday night.
Weather Policy: The tours will take place rain or shine, unless conditions are severe enough to endanger participants at the sites or while traveling.
