Environmental Education Collection
The NCDENR Library has an extensive collection of resources for environmental educators, state agency employees, and the general public. Highlights from the environmental education collection are listed below.
Sound Learning K-5 Teacher Institute Bibliograpgy
This bibliography is designed as a resource to compliment the Sound Learning 2006 Teacher Institute. It focuses on resources for K-5 educators.
Environmental Education Bibliography
The Environmental Education Bibliography serves as a resource for schools, libraries, and environmental education centers interested in developing, enhancing, or expanding the environmental education resources available at their facilities. Because of the large number of books included in the bibliography, we have sorted print materials into three categories, elementary, middle school, and high school/adult.
Stormwater Resources
The following materials contain information about stormwater/nonpoint source pollution. While some discuss the subject exclusively, others may have a chapter or section about the subject.
Sustainability Resources
Environmental Sustainability is "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Environmental Sustainability is the act of working toward minimizing the unwanted environmental impacts of daily activities and projects. State Government and individual employees have many opportunities to implement sustainable practices, both at home and at work, that encourage wise use of resources and that reduce or eliminate pollution.
