If the library has materials that you can use, you can borrow them and have them delivered to your nearest public library.

DATABASE SEARCHES - If you are a DENR employee and are curious as to what articles have been written about a particular topic in your field, the librarian can conduct a database search for you and send you the results. Results often contain article abstracts. From the results, you can select the articles that appear applicable to your topic, and request them from the library. If the library does not carry the journal or book the article you need appeared in, the librarian will request the item for you through interlibrary loan.

BOOKS AND VIDEOS - From The Air Quality Control Handbook, to children's picture books by Eric Carle, you'll find many interesting and informative books in the library. Looking for something specific? You may search our catalog online at the library's web site, or call/email the librarian for information.

GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS - Do you need a state document, USGS publication, EPA document, flood plain map, or some climatic data? The chances are likely that we'll have it! (And if we don't, we may be able to interlibrary loan it for you.)

INTERLIBRARY LOAN* - Are you a DENR employee looking for a publication the library does not own? The library will request work-related materials from other libraries across the southeast to help you! Have the name of an article from a database search, but the DENR library doesn't own the publication? No problem! We'll request a copy of it through interlibrary loan.

JOURNALS, MAGAZINES, NEWSLETTERS - Keep up with what's going on in your field! The library keeps current issues of many journals, as well as back issues. A list of the magazines, journals, and newsletters that the library receives is available on the library's web site.

*Services designated with an asterisk are available only to DENR employees.
