Viburnum Viburnum

Scientific Name: Viburnum sp./Caprifoliaceae

Native

Semi-evergreen to Deciduous Shrub, Zone, height and habit varies with species.

Full Sun to Partial Sun. The soil needs to be moderately moist and fertile, but amended well for drainage. Most will tolerate droughts without much damage. Prune only what is needed to maintain structure in the evergreen varieties. Viburnum produce clusters of showy white flowers in mid-spring, and most species reliably produce fruit. The fruit persists through the winter providing food for birds after many fall fruits have long been exhausted.
