Coral Honeysuckle

Scientific Name: Lonicera sempervirens/Caprifoliaceae

Native

Semi-Evergreen to Deciduous Vines, Zones and height varies with variety.

Honeysuckles need support. Arbors, fences and trellises will do. Would not recommend letting them twine into trees or shrubs where the vine may girdle, or cut into trunks or branches. For an interesting effect, try training honeysuckle to a low fence to be used as a backdrop for a border without one. This backdrop could also double as a windbreak. Attracts Hummingbirds in spring!

Full Sun to Partial Sun. Amended, well drained soil. Drought tolerant once established, but it will effect performance. Prune Honeysuckle, as needed after flowering or as they venture into forbidden territory.
