This summer the Office of Environmental Education hosted a professional development summer institute for eighth grade and high school science teachers and nonformal educators. It was made possible by the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program, the UNC Superfund Basic Research Program, and the Clean Water Act's Section 319 Grant Program in partnership with the Environmental Education Fund. Everyone learned a lot, explored a lot and had a LOT of fun!
